When hearing that their project must fit the area of smart specialisations, many entrepreneurs and representatives of non-governmental organisations lay down their arms. Smart specialisations are to help in the concentration of EU funds on fields whose development should help in the use of strengths of the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But these strengths may also be tied to traditional industries. An example here may be an industry related to tourism, rest, leisure and generally active and healthy lifestyle. Is there room for smart specialisations? Yes, there is. The entire industry may be qualified as leisure industry and is included in such priority areas in the Ma\u0142opolskie Voivodeship. We are talking here, for example, about information and communication technologies in tourism, new products and services related to recreation and free time, culinary tourism and top-quality eating services.<\/p>\n<p>As can be seen, the development of the company, its products or services does not mean that you enter a space technology sector in the current outlook. You should not resign straight away, since the completion of promising and interesting projects in the area of smart specialisations not only contributes to the optimisation of actions for economic development of the region, but also is beneficial for the development and increase of competitiveness of entrepreneurs from Ma\u0142opolska, says Solecki encouraging to submit applications.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"cytat\"><em>Smart specialisations for Ma\u0142opolska have been selected from 2010. These are the areas with the greatest development potential in the coming years and it is worthwhile to invest public and European funds in them, says Ma\u0142opolska Marshal, Jacek Krupa, who also reminds that, apart from creative ideas and leisure, the Ma\u0142opolskie Voivodeship focuses on natural sciences, sustainable energy, information and communication technologies, chemistry, manufacturing of metals and metal products, electrotechnology and mechanical engineering.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Thus the choice of industries in which Ma\u0142opolska specialises and which are interesting to the investors is quite large, adds Rafa\u0142 Solecki, Director of the Ma\u0142opolska Centre for Entrepreneurship. As can be seen, the development of the company, its products or services does not mean that you enter a space technology sector in the current outlook.
